Updated web-based subscription service for NEXTMap® products helps customers save time and money
DENVER--Intermap (TSX:IMP), a leading provider of 3D Business Intelligence (3DBI) solutions created from its uniform, high-resolution 3D digital models and orthorectified imagery of the Earth’s surface, today announces the launch of its NEXTMap® Web Store 2.0.
“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new NEXTMap WebStore”
“What's really amazing about the new NEXTMap Web Store is that we can upload GIS boundary files and have superior 5-meter resolution DEMs faster than we can get the USGS NED 10-meter data,” said Carl Moczydlowsky, GIS director for enXco Development. “The accuracy and precision of the NEXTMap data allows us to leverage a much smaller investment than traditional LiDAR, much earlier in the project. We are Intermap customers for the foreseeable future.”
Offering an expanded suite of hosted tools, Intermap’s Web Store 2.0 gives even those unfamiliar with geographic information systems (GIS) the ability to quickly and easily download terrain data based on an area of interest (AOI), or access their county and state via OGC subscription services.
“We've appreciated the new functionality Intermap has implemented in the NEXTMap Web Store, especially the ability to view and print reports of all our orders,” said Jim McPherson, GISP, RBF Consulting, a Company of Michael Baker Corporation. “Having this reporting tool is critical in project tracking and has helped us tremendously.”
New NEXTMap WebStore 2.0 features include:
Data Provisioning: Subscribers to Intermap Web Services receive regular data updates and can access their content using their current Web browsers, through desktop software like ArcGIS, Global Mapper, SocetGXP, or via an application that leverages the Intermap Web Services software developers kit (SDK).
Metadata: Based on user feedback, customers can now easily view data acquisition and publishing dates, and both the horizontal and vertical data. The full metadata fields can also be downloaded prior to purchase in either HTML or XML formats.
New Data Layers: Customers can gain quick access to the Intermap team for other available data layers, including custom contours, slope and aspect maps, 3D roads, hillshade images, road and trail networks, hydrology, coastlines, and data fusion services.
Google® Maps Integration: Provides customers a familiar interface to view Intermap’s leading-edge GIS data.
Streamlined Billing: Offers customers a one-time or ongoing subscription access to Intermap’s NEXTMap products, services, and tools from any location worldwide. Pricing information is now available in USD, Euros, or Pounds, and notes or annotations can be added to any purchase receipts.
“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new NEXTMap WebStore,” said Todd Oseth Intermap president and CEO. “Our new store delivers a streamlined shopping experience and plenty of exciting new features that customers and partners have requested.”
