JobMo Mobile Application Achieves 20,000 Download Milestone - LBS Job search  E-mail

Kiefer’s JobMo Mobile Application Achieves 20,000 Download Milestone - JobMo application provides job seekers with a revolutionary tool to search and apply for jobs on a tablet device or smartphone

FOLSOM, Calif.--()--JobMoTM, a job search application for tablet computers developed by Kiefer Consulting, has reached a major milestone with 20,000 downloads. Launched last summer, the application has skyrocketed in popularity and reached the list of top 100 of downloads from the AppStore.

“More and more people are beginning to use tablets for work, fun, and career development.”

“JobMo is the first and only job search engine that is optimized for tablets,” said Eric Neff, director of Kiefer’s Mobile Innovation Division. “More and more people are beginning to use tablets for work, fun, and career development.”

The new software application allows users to search for open jobs and locate potential employers on a map. JobMo’s “NearMe” feature uses the device’s GPS and touch screen to provide location-based job postings using Google Maps.

Unlike other products on the market, JobMo aggregates listings from numerous job search engines and allows users to apply for open positions directly with employers. The application saves users from having to create individual accounts on various job websites like www.monster.com and www.careerbuilder.com, and provides more useful features than typically found online.

For example, the applicant can easily search for jobs using the mapping component versus manually searching lists for location-based information.

“I am pleased at the successful efforts by our Mobile Innovation Division to produce an exciting new product that is being consumed in a rapidly-growing marketplace,” said Greg Kiefer, president and CEO of Kiefer Consulting. In business 24 years, Kiefer continues to demonstrate their ability to innovatively leverage new technologies to create solutions.

Currently, JobMo supports postings in 53 countries and 25 languages and growing.

JobMo is currently supported by the Mobile Innovation Division at Kiefer that includes Eric Neff, Malcolm Nguyen, and Harkeerat Toor.

JobMo is available for Android operating systems and the iPad. Future releases will include Windows Phone, BlackBerry as well as WebOs and Windows tablets.

JobMo can be downloaded on the Android Marketplace here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.IndeedTablet&feature=search_result or on the Apple AppStore here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/genre/ios/id36?mt=8.

The application will be highlighted along with other new Kiefer products at the Government Mobility Conference on Wed. Feb 8, 2012 in Sacramento. Kiefer is a lead sponsor of the event. Visit www.governmentmobility.net for more information.
