Oslo, Norway December 14, 2011 -- Numa AS based in Norway has launched the "SOS Rescue Me" App developed by www.Appsmakerstore.com. The idea was bornby Steinar Bredesen after the terror in Oslo this summer with the increasing number of assaults on young females in the usually quiet town of Oslo. After weeks of research, it was identified that this problem is not just isolated to Norway but it is a global epidemic when it comes to personal safety especially with females and teens.
By downloading the app, mobile users all over the world can alert their closest friends or relatives by SMS and Facebook with their GPS location by the click of a button. The app also supports faking incoming calls, calling emergency numbers and snapping ''witness'' photos directly to the user's Facebook profile. With the correct GPS-location, day, date and time directly published on the photo.
"We have great expectations for this mobile app for personal safety, especially with the busy Christmas season coming up. By combining alerts via SMS to selected contacts, it will allow Facebook to push updates when turned on with GPS tracking with features of preventative functions such as fake calls and witness functions I really hope that we can contribute in a positive way of stopping the violence." says Mr. Steinar Bredesen CEO at Numa AS.
"SOS Rescue Me" can be downloaded from the Itunes store.
