We have all seen three dimensional video of a proposed development on TV or on the internet, but these video presentations are prohibitively expensive to produce, with perhaps 1% or so of site plan submittals using the technology. The other 99% simply cannot afford this technology. CAD based 3D animation is also limited because it is not interactive allowing movement at the whim of those curious as to how the development may look at locations other than the predetermined ‘premium spots’.
In July of 2011 all of that is about to change with the release of Neighborhood Innovations next Performance Planning System 2.0 which will include the world’s first effortless Virtual Reality design system specific to sustainable land development!
The ‘Virtual Reality’ PPS system is so revolutionary, we decided that instead of a typical press release explaining in words what the system does, we thought instead – why not provide a preview of the Beta prototype which allows you to see and feel how it works and the difference it can make! PPS is a ‘system’ that educates on a more sustainable way to build that can now be visualized by anyone…
You will need a Windows based PC with some graphics power that supports OpenGL, in other words, a typical newer PC, or one set up for gaming should be fine.
