Glimmerglass Exhibits at GEOINT 2010 Symposium, Showcases Optical Signal Access and Distribution Solutions for the Intelligence Community - GEOINT 2010

NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Glimmerglass Networks, the leading supplier of intelligent optical layer management solutions, today announced it will demonstrate the latest optical signal access and distribution management systems at the GEOINT 2010 Symposium, Nov. 1-4 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Specifically, Glimmerglass will highlight its capabilities to remotely access optical signals on demand while distributing optical signals to one or many locations in milliseconds.

“We’re pleased to participate in the premier gathering of the nation’s top intelligence leaders and organizations as they examine the latest solutions for accessing and distributing intelligence information”

“We’re pleased to participate in the premier gathering of the nation’s top intelligence leaders and organizations as they examine the latest solutions for accessing and distributing intelligence information,” said Jeff Zindel, Glimmerglass Networks Vice President of Marketing. “Our Intelligent Optical Systems provide major breakthroughs in managing the optical layer for the world’s elite intelligence agencies and we look forward to highlighting these capabilities at GEOINT. By keeping the information optical throughout the network, we enable network operators to maintain signal security while handling any optical signal format and data rate.”

Glimmerglass optical systems dynamically create, monitor and reconfigure optical signal paths for satellite stations, sensor arrays, undersea cable landing locations and terrestrial networks. Through powerful, easy-to-use systems software, Glimmerglass empowers the Intelligence and Defense communities to manage a wide array of systems throughout the world from central operations centers. Due to the compact and extremely low-power profile of Glimmerglass systems, the company enables network operators to manage the access and distribution of optical signals throughout a network, including remote locations with otherwise prohibitive space and power constraints.

The GEOINT Symposium is the nation’s largest intelligence event of the year, annually attracting more than 3,000 total attendees and over 200 exhibitors for multiple days of keynote speakers, panel discussions, technical workshops, breakout sessions, networking events and 100,000 square feet of exhibit space.
