LIVERMORE, Calif.- Topcon Precision Agriculture (TPA) has announced the opening of its new European facility - Topcon Positioning Iberia (TPI) in Madrid, Spain. TPI was formerly doing business as InlandGEO Holdings.

The new facility will be the operations center for distribution and support of TPA products and software for all European agriculture business, according to Carlos Monreal, TPA vice president of global agriculture. In addition to his global duties, Monreal is directly responsible for TPA's European operations.
Monreal is the former president and CEO of InlandGEO, and is also president of TPI. In his new role, he will be in charge of sales, service support and technical staff members.

Robin Pick is the new TPI agriculture product manager. Stefano Rosato has been named TPI's key accounts and marketing manager and Dr. Matthias Sausen and Lars Nielsen are regional agriculture sales managers. Regional technical managers include Jaime Monreal, Marko Lamprecht, Jesper Bekhoj and Samuel Piou. Javier Villar will be project manager.
David Hart has been named as Technical Services Group (TSG) manager. Other managers within TSG include Serafín Lopez-Cuervo (support), Ricardo Hormigos (repairs and warranties) and Roberto Infante (technical services).
Tony Hirayama, former president and CEO of TPA, who currently holds several positions with Topcon Corporation in Tokyo, has been named CEO of TPI. David Mudrick, CFO of TPS, will be chairman of the board of directors.
Other members of the board will be Ray O'Connor, president and CEO of TPS, Ewout Korpershoek, managing director of Topcon Europe Positioning and Ivan Di Federico, TPS chief strategy officer.
Topcon Precision Agriculture is a business unit of Topcon Positioning Systems, Inc. (TPS). TPS designs and manufactures precise positioning products and solutions for the global surveying, construction, agriculture, civil engineering, mapping and GIS, asset management and mobile control markets.
