The weekly LBSzone social location news round-up - now billed as "The Social Location Report" was released today... enjoy

Welcome to another Location-technology and mobile industry update from the LBSzone. No doubt you're well aware that iPhone 4 is now heavily in use, albeit without the expected issues (expected on my part anyway). So, many of you may be happy to learn that this week Apple will finally roll out iPhone 4 in a number of geographic reagions. Users in 17 countries will be able to "upgrade" or jump on the bandwagon as iPhone 4 expands its reach. You'll be in luck if you happen to be in one of the following markets: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland - available this Friday, July 30 (See More Here).

In the location tech news there's plenty to share including: CloudMade Raises $12.3 Million in Series B Funding - The company will use the funds to further accelerate its work to build the world's most comprehensive map and geo database, and serve this data to developers, device manufacturers and mobile operators through its comprehensive mapping platform; Event reminder, Nokia Developer Summit + Nokia World, London, Sept 14-15 - The Nokia Developer Summit is held in conjunction with Nokia World. As Nokia's biggest event, this offers you new opportunities to meet professionals from every part of the mobile industry; Bluetooth SIG Launches Application Developers' Contest - The contest will promote open source collaboration that will allow users to develop new and improved uses for mobile phones and PCs with the help of Bluetooth wireless technology.

Over on our blog (anygeo.com) we have plenty of fun and interesting updates to share including: Lifestyle tips and motivation for your employees - Times are tough for everyone and just because business has maybe taken a hit that doesn't mean it's the end of the World. This is a great time to innovate and it may also be the perfect time to implement some new ideas into your business; A tip for coastal outdoor enthusiasts as the Coastal Angler magazine rolls out for iPhone; a special look at ArcPad 10 and 10 Cool, New Features for mobile mapping professionals. Have a great day all and please keep those tips coming in!
