O'Reilly Where 2.0 Conference a Sold Out Event Location Information Goes to Work at Where 2.0  E-mail
Written by O'reilly Media
01 April 2010
Sebastopol, CA, March 31, 2010-The sixth annual O'Reilly Where 2.0 Conference has sold out, confirming the dramatic expansion of location technologies today, particularly in the areas of mobile, local, and mapping innovations. Where 2.0 2010 began March 30 and continues through April 1, at the San Jose Marriott in San Jose, California.

"To sell out a conference in today's economy shows the importance of mapping, mobile, and location to the tech sector right now. I'm thrilled at how many people want to participate in Where 2.0," says conference chair Brady Forrest. "This also means that O'Reilly's first two conferences this year have sold out, which attests to the strength of our communities and the value our events deliver."

Featured keynotes include Blaise Agüera y Arcas of Microsoft, Michael Arrington of TechCrunch in a discussion with Tim O'Reilly of O'Reilly Media, Dennis Crowley of foursquare, Jack Dangermond of ESRI, Deborah Estrin of the UCLA Computer Science Department, David Fetterman of Facebook, Vanessa Fox of Nine by Blue, Michael Jones of Google, Kati London of Area/Code, Ryan Sarver of Twitter, Jeremy Stoppleman of Yelp, and San Francisco CIO Chris Vein.

Where 2.0 livestreams all the keynotes (login required) and also offers videos, speaker presentation files, and media coverage at: http://conferences.oreilly.com/where
