Oklahoma Launches New Economic Development Website OKcommerce.gov/locateok  E-mail

Powered by GIS Planning Inc., the Oklahoma Department of Commerce has just launched a revolutionary new website, http://OKcommerce.gov/locateok, to provide businesses, site selection and economic development professionals with access to the real estate and demographic information they need to make site selection decisions in Oklahoma.



San Francisco, CA March 16, 2010 -- The Oklahoma Department of Commerce has just launched http://OKcommerce.gov/locateok, a cutting-edge site selection website designed to attract businesses into the state of Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Department of Commerce evaluated a number of sites and buildings database providers to find the best partner for the state of Oklahoma and selected GIS Planning because of its combination of technology and expertise.
The website is built on ZoomProspector Enterprise technology provided by GIS Planning Inc., the premier provider of site selection websites in the economic development industry. From the revolutionary new user-interface, sophisticated community and business analysis capabilities, and a fully integrated social media strategy, the website provides best of breed site selection functionalities for businesses, site selection and economic development professionals across the nation.

The geographic information system (GIS) powered website includes an interactive map that offers sophisticated capabilities like Google Street View and Google Earth, as well as "heat maps" showing various concentrations of demographic data. Local property owners can easily showcase their unique properties through detailed property information and an interactive slideshow of photos.
