MapMart Unveils Free ArcMap Toolbar for Instant Access to Geospatial Data Sets

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, COLORADO, February 16, 2010 - MapMart, the most extensive online source of mapping and image data sets, today introduced the MapMart On-Demandr Toolbar for ESRI ArcMap.
Available free from MapMart, the On-Demand Toolbar integrates directly into ArcMap and enables ESRI users to search, compare imagery options, preview and purchase a wide variety of geospatial data from inside their GIS environment.
The MapMart On-Demand Toolbar may be downloaded at no charge from the MapMart website at www.mapmart.com. MapMart customer service representatives are available at 1-866-499-6277 to answer questions about the toolbar.
"The MapMart On-Demand Toolbar for ArcMap is designed to allow an ESRI 9.2 or 9.3 user to search available imagery and mapping data within his or her current project area by the simple click of a button," said Rebecca Murray, product manager for MapMart. "Our aim is to provide the most currently available quality mapping data to make it quickly and easily accessible to today's GIS users."
The MapMart On-Demand Toolbar makes it possible for ArcMap users to highlight or define any geographic area of interest within their GIS project and instantly search the MapMart product database for geospatial data sets matching the AOI criteria. Thumbnails of relevant satellite imagery, aerial photographs, DEMs, topographic maps, and vector data sets available for purchase from MapMart can be viewed onscreen. ArcMap users can modify the search to match cloud-cover, vendor and acquisition date parameters for any GIS project worldwide. With the exception of downloading the final files, all steps of imagery acquisition can be completed without leaving the ArcMap interface.
