Unique Touch Table Provides Cutting-Edge User Interaction and Enables Collaborative Decision-Making

Bay Saint Louis, Miss. -- NVision Solutions Inc., is pleased to announce the release NVTouch, a multi-touch, multi-user surface computer.  The NVTouch provides a more engaging way to interact with digital information using touch.  The combination of unlimited multi-user, multi-touch ability, precise and fluid touch response, and durable, upgradable components makes NVTouch unique among surface computer systems.

NVision launched U.S. sales of the system with installations at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C., and the NASA Stennis Space Center Emergency Operations Center in Mississippi.  These systems were installed as part of a NASA-wide installation of NVision's HazNet Emergency Management System.

The heart of the NVTouch is an off-the-shelf Microsoft Windows T computer, coupled with a projection system and infrared sensing technology resulting in a 42-inch interactive touch table which is sturdy, robust, self-contained, and portable.

Surface computing is a new way of interacting with computers that moves beyond the traditional keyboard and mouse experience.  It is a natural user interface that allows anyone to interact with digital content the same way they have interacted with physical
objects such as photos, paper, and maps their entire life: with their hands, with gestures and by putting real-world objects on the surface.

NVision's NVTouch turns digital information into touch-sensitive virtual objects for a superior user experience. Instead of using a mouse or stylus pen, multi-touch allows multiple users to simultaneously interact with the device by placing one or more fingers directly onto the surface of the table. The movement of fingers on the table creates gestures, which send commands to the device.

"The NVTouch Surface Computer is one of the most innovative technologies we've seen," said Socorro Harvey, NVision President.  "It draws people into our cutting-edge geospatial applications in a whole new way.   This system is already used in the defense, medical, and retail industries in Europe.  NVision is bringing this technology to the U.S."

NVision manufactures the tables in Mississippi at the Stennis Technology Park.  In addition to customer sales, NVision also provides the system for customers using NVision's emergency management and emergency exercise services for federal and local government, educational institutions, and sports industry clients.

More information on the NVTouch multi-touch, multi-user surface computer can be found on NVision's website at http://nvtouch.nvs-inc.com.

NVision Solutions, Inc. is a small, disadvantaged, minority, woman-owned certified 8(a) firm specializing in advanced geospatial solutions.  NVision, headquartered near the NASA Stennis Space Center in south Mississippi, is an active member of the EIGS geospatial technology cluster of the University of Mississippi.    For more information about NVision Solutions, Inc., visit www.NVisionSolutions.com.
