(Dec. 21, 2009/Harrisburg, Pa.) GeoDecisions, an information technology company specializing in geospatial solutions, has been awarded multiple contracts to provide services for its GeoDecisions Public Records Information Mapping Engine (GeoPRIME) application.
GeoPRIME is a multi-platform framework used for building spatial Web applications. It is an easy-to-maintain, affordable solution designed to meet the needs of counties, regional planning organizations, and municipalities.
Utilizing ESRI ArcGISr JavaScriptT API, GeoDecisions has implemented GeoPRIME-based mapping sites designed and deployed for public use for Clinton County, Pa., and York County, Pa. An additional GeoPRIME-based mapping site has been developed for Hanover County, Va.; and sites for Anoka County, Minn.; Brown County, Wis., De Pere, Wis., and Green Bay, Wis., are currently in development, using ESRI ArcGIS API for FlexT.
GeoPRIME contains components common to most spatial Web applications, such as feature-rich map display components and navigation, query, and printing tools. GeoPRIME is cross browser-compatible and platform independent, allowing the solution to be used with any type of Web server. It is designed to take advantage of the speed, flexibility, and ease of use of ArcGIS Server, enhancing map visualization and efficiency to produce a highly cartographic and user-friendly application.
