Trimble Dimensions China 2009 - Steered By Technology, Exploration Has No Boundaries From Zhenghe to Shenqi - Six Centuries of Navigation in China
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Dec. 16 -- Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) opened its Dimensions China conference with more than 1,600 registered attendees. The conference theme "Exploration Has No Boundaries," draws comparisons between the 15th century navigator Zhenghe, the 2008 space mission Shenqi, and the use of positioning technology to steer exploration. Trimble Dimensions China is being held December 15-17, 2009 at the JiuHua Resort & Convention Center located in Beijing.
Sessions cover commercial positioning technology for surveying, engineering, construction, mapping and Geographic Information System (GIS), geospatial, infrastructure, mobile resource management and precision agriculture. In addition, participants have the opportunity to learn how positioning technology can be used in a variety of applications for China's modernization projects such as railways, airports, highways, utilities, natural resource management, emergency relief, and more.
