Now that Twitter has opened up the Geotagging API we can expect loads of cool new functionality from developers.
Like what you might ask?? How about Geo Tagged Tweets sent from within ArcGIS Explorer for a start! Seems the ESRI development team has jumped on this one (no surprise there) and is already Tweeting from within AGE… see image below showing a tweet and screen capture sent from @AL_Laframboise.
Way cool stuff and I’m sure there’s going to be lots more to share on this topic in the future. Of note, as a starting point in using Geotagged tweets, users will need to enable the Geotagging functionality within their Twitter Account settings.
