Free software upgrade features improved “Go To” function plus six new languages
Santa Clara, Calif., October 22 2009, – Magellan® Professional has released version 2.10 of its Mobile Mapping software for the MobileMapper 6 GIS/GPS handheld receiver and data collector. The new version improves the “Go To” feature by allowing users to choose a new destination by entering point coordinates in the selected coordinate system. The new version also adds six new languages, Polish, Russian, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian and Bulgarian accessible through the user interface. The new languages are in addition to the eleven languages currently offered.
The new 2.10 version includes an enhanced “Go To” MobileMapper 6 that permits users to use the “Go to” not only to navigate back to an already collected data point, but now they can also enter and navigate to any new destination. “These enhancements were desired by our customers”, said Jacek Pietruczanis, GIS Product Marketing Manager. “It’s our policy to respond to customer suggestions for product improvement.” The new software release makes the “Go To” function complete, yet maintains its very intuitive and easy-to-use quality. “The additional languages will enable our resellers to even more successfully compete in the Eastern European markets where MobileMapper 6 already enjoys great success especially in agriculture, forestry, or natural resources mapping applications,” added Pietruczanis.
Like virtually all Magellan Professional software upgrades, version 2.10 is free via a simple visit to the Magellan Professional FTP site for new software download. http://www.promagellangps.com/en/support/
