Definiens Imaging and Lockheed Martin enter into reseller alliance

Munich, Germany - 02.06.2004 - Definiens Imaging today announced it has signed a reseller agreement with Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] to allow the aerospace and defense company to resell its eCognition image classification software as part of its defense solutions to organizations worldwide.
The agreement represents an important step forward for Definiens Imaging to deliver eCognition-based software and solutions to an important part of the global remote sensing market. Terms of the agreement, signed with Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Dallas, Texas, USA , were not disclosed.
“It is our belief that this alliance with Lockheed Martin will provide both Lockheed Martin and its customers with the desired technological advantage,” said Martin Ehrhardt, Managing Director at Definiens Imaging. “This agreement with Lockheed Martin furthers our goal of partnering with true market-leaders in selected fields.
