New Interoperable Analytical Software Tool Dynamically Assesses Data to Provide a Wide Range of Analytics, from Simulating Disaster Events to Reporting Complex Market Analysis
CHESAPEAKE, VA - No one could have guessed the new paradigm for preparedness would be built by two data experts in a garage. IP Systems International LLC's RDACr (Rapid Dynamic Analytical Capability) Software Suite is a dynamic, high-speed analytical platform that automatically analyzes geospatial data to provide an array of capabilities for training, planning, assessment, operations and response.
For instance, RDACr is capable of processing data from multiple data sets, including geospatial data points of information, to build probable scenarios around natural disasters before they occur, potentially saving lives. But the platform's applications are extremely diverse; RDACr can manipulate that same data and new data to provide an intuitive overview of market penetration for businesses looking to expand into new locations where the demographic outlook matches their target audiences.
Since IP Systems' founders began developing the idea in 2002, the RDACr Software Suite has been utilized by the United States Joint Forces Command (JFCOM), national retail chains and a diverse portfolio of reputable clients.
Perhaps most importantly, RDACr is interoperable with any system following Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards - meaning it can interpret data from other databases and programs with very little manual translation. The software is stand alone and web-based, so it can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
The RDACr Software Suite integrates live, virtual, and constructive capabilities into a single, synthetic and collaborative environment to provide disaster damage predictions for insurance companies, site suitability reports for businesses, crop growth patterns for agricultural analysts, campaign fund maps for political races, poverty movement patterns and predictions, and a vast mine of other applications.
"What RDACr ultimately represents is the fastest, most dynamic and most intuitive platform for geospatial data analysis and scenario simulation available on the market," said Douglas Pillsbury, VP and CTO of IP Systems. "The software analyzes data sets like agriculture and food, emergency services, nuclear and energy facilities, information technology centers, public health buildings, communications centers, monuments and icons, and more to provide a comprehensive geospatial data analysis."
RDACr is composed of three highly-technical components: RDACgT, RDAC EngineT and RDAC DatabaseT.
RDACgT and RDAC EngineT: Forming a Dynamic, High-Speed Analytical Application
RDACgT, the program's interface, is a dynamic, high-speed analytical application capable of performing rapid, real-time, geospatial data analysis. Inside RDACgT, the RDAC EngineT functions as the "brain," providing critical analytics in two- and three-dimensional environments via standalone or distributed and scalable geospatial architectures.
RDACgT can be integrated into current Common Operating Picture (COP), Game Engines, or Modeling and Simulation systems. In addition to being highly interoperable, portable and lightweight, RDACgT and the RDAC EngineT offer fast and agile customization options to support real-time integration and analysis.
RDACT Database: Geospatial Dataset Creation and Organization
The RDAC DatabaseT incorporates disparate geospatial datasets into a Critical Infrastructures Key Resources (CIKR) database and a refined Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) database to provide greater trust in the analytical data model. Both databases contain "National-Level" datasets for the U.S., with more detailed information for identified sites across the country.
Pre-existing and new geospatial datasets can be created and integrated into the RDAC DatabasesT as designated by the end-user. Combining the databases with detailed terrain and imagery files generates a strong basis for training, planning, assessment, operations, and response. To make sense of the information, RDACgT takes volumes of these data sets in a variety of formats and turns the information into a visual representation that is easy to analyze and understand.
About RDACr Software Suite
Developed by IP Systems International LLC, the RDACr Software Suite is an interoperable, dynamic, high-speed analytical application capable of performing rapid, real-time geospatial data analysis. Through the intuitive interface of RDACgT, organizations across all spheres of business, industry, military and government can analyze geospatial data in a comprehensive visual representation. The software suite consists of three main components (RDACgT, RDAC EngineT and RDAC DatabaseT) that can function independently or together to translate thousands of layers of data from any source into a single, readable viewpoint.
A Look at Twitter Stats From the International #ESRIUC - Twitter once again played a huge role in the ESRI user conference, with many attendees, Esri staffers, and exhibitors using the social service to communicate with attendees and those watching from a distance. We take a look at some of the stats that resulted from all the Tweeting.
