Boston, MA - August 7, 2009 - The new WHEREr application for iPhone OS 3.0 is live and currently the # 8 ranked download in Navigation. The application brings user's favorite content feeds to a multi-page dashboard that updates automatically and can be customized for one click access to their most frequently searched information, such as restaurant reviews, gas prices, movie show times, and Starbucks to name a few. The new user interface provides a far faster and more intuitive navigational experience.
New content available in this application includes weather, news, and WHERE ConnectT. WHEREConnect is a social networking experience that brings together the functionality of the former Buddy Beaconr and WHERE WallT products into one socially engaging and entertaining mobile venue. With WHERE Connect, users are able to connect with existing friends and meet new people, through public forum and private chat. The new features of iPhone OS 3.0 enable push notifications for private chats in WHERE Connect, and also native maps.
Initial user feedback has been extremely positive:
"The maps took forever to load in the old app. The new version is awesome and 10x faster."
"3.0 is quite a change and I love it! I can't wait to see what's coming next"
WHERE for iPhone OS 3.0 can be downloaded today from the Navigation Section of the iTunes App Store at http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=281790044&mt=8.
