Longmont, CO, July 9th, 2009 - Laurel Hill GIS, Inc. announces GeoData Random Sampler. GeoData Random Sampler is a lightweight ArcMap extension that allows users to install and start analyzing samples within minutes.
GeoData Random Sampler allows analysts to sample data using statistical (based on MIL-STD-105E/ ANSI ASQ Z1.4-2003), percentage, absolute value and where clause sampling methods.
Random sampling is a cornerstone to a successful visual inspection plan and now it is made simple with GeoData Random Sampler. Samples can be automatically created for multiple feature classes in a geodatabase. Each sample can also be broken into multiple samples based on a user defined break point allowing multiple users to work simultaneously on larger samples.
Samples are managed through an intuitive user interface. At any given time a manager can see how many samples are being processed, the number of features in the samples, the number of features visited and the number of errors detected allowing for simplified visual inspection management.
Analysts can quickly evaluate features both graphically and by viewing their attributes. Errors are categorized and managed within the error dialog.
"We are pleased to add GeoData Random Sampler to our Quality Assurance product line. For several years we have seen the need for a product to help both large and small users sample a portion of their data to come up with an overall data quality measure. Random Sampler is a cost effective approach to sampling, offering several sampling methods, easy sample management and concise error output for flexible error analysis." states Laurel Hill GIS' vice-president, Matt McCain.
