Moving forward, some interesting news updates to mention today include word of a new high-accuracy data collection kit for the new Topcon GMS-2 Pro - think `all-in-one' field data collection solution; ERDAS has launched a New Suite of ArcGIS Extensions, FeatureAssist for ArcGIS and ERDAS Terrain Editor for ArcGIS; GeoSpatial Experts have rolled out a Photo-Mapping Software for Consumers in GPS-Photo Link Express Series - a consumer edition of its popular photo-mapping software. The software is compatible with any handheld GPS receiver and digital camera, including some cell phone cameras like the iPhone 3G; right here in Fort Collins CO, Red Hen has announced the release of MediaMapper Server - a Web-based centralized publishing, storage, and distribution platform for geo-tagged digital still photos and videos; Finally, our friends at Avenza (Toronto) have released Geographic Imager 2.1 for Adobe Photoshop - Geographic Imager enhances the already commanding Adobe Photoshop imaging environment by adding all the tools and technology necessary to support the import, edit, manipulation and export of geospatial images such as aerial and satellite imagery.
