GeoSpatial World 2004, Booth 400 – Safe Software Inc., the spatial ETL technologies leader, announced that the upcoming FME 2004 ICE release will ship with a dramatically enhanced version of the FME Data Server for GeoMedia.
The FME Data Server for GeoMedia shows how spatial ETL and GIS complement each other to provide a complete spatial data solution. The FME Data Server for GeoMedia features new technological advancements such as advanced database support and caching technology to improve performance and optimize workflows. FME Data Server for GeoMedia provides GeoMedia users the ability to directly read over 110 formats and systems supported by FME including DB2, Geodatabase, SDE, PostGIS, many GML dialects, and MapInfo TAB.
“The new FME Data Server for GeoMedia brings the latest advancements in high-efficiency FME Objects technology to GeoMedia. This release paves the way for the upcoming release of a data server for GeoMedia WebMap, which shows great promise in providing new levels of interoperability, “ said Felipe Vera, FME Objects Product Manager at Safe Software.
Vincent De Breuk from Intergraph added, “One of our customers was looking at making his ArcSDE data available on the web using Intergraph GeoMedia WebMap. Safe has done a very good job in making this solution possible with the FME Data Server for GeoMedia WebMap. Even though performance testing is still ongoing, the first impression on performance was very positive."
FME Data Server for GeoMedia will be demonstrated at GeoSpatial World 2004, Booth 400.
