This fine resource from the University of Arizona is an interdisciplinary resource system for digital image and map data for the Sonoran desert region, including the U.S. Southwest and northern Mexico. Users will find instructional and outreach activities in remote sensing and spatial analysis on integrated regional assessments as well as a wealth of data (DRG, DEM, DOQQs) for use in their GIS. In addition to countless research material and educational resources, users will find they are provided with access to plenty of data. AGIC
A starting point for your data search is the Arizona Geographic Information Council (AGIC) website http://agic.az.gov/portal/main.do. User registration is required in order to access and dwonload the data where there are currently some 86 downloadable data layers available. The Portal is designed to provide GIS users with links to Internet map services, FGDC compliant metadata, and geospatial data downloads. Downloadable datasets including riparian areas, census data, land ownership, grants, and other map products.
ALRIS
ALRIS, the Arizona State Land Department provides a section wheree visitors can browse metadata and then request data products (free), although there is a fee for commercial users. This resource is also home to the Arizona State Land Parcel Viewer - http://www.land.state.az.us/alris/transfers/parcels/help/welcome.htm

ASCO
For a real data score though you need to visit the Arizona State Cartographer's Office (SCO). The Portal is designed to provide GIS users with links to Internet map services, FGDC compliant metadata, and geospatial data downloads. Currently there are more than 85 downloadable datasets including riparian areas, census data, land ownership, grants, and other map products.
