Epping, NH, August 28, 2008 – Sustainable Map Solutions (SMS) (link: www.smsgis.com), a purveyor of municipal software, in cooperation with with Cartographic Associates (CAI) (link: www.cai-info.com) the town of Grantham’s mapping/GIS consultant, today announced successful implementation of a new municipal web based GIS client: Grantham, NH.
Grantham decided to switch from their existing online GIS provider to mPower integrator in March of 2008. Integrator provides enhanced functionality including dynamic tax card links, printable PDF reporting, and fully customizable search and reporting functions.
"SMS has provided outstanding customer support, and the transition from our old GIS system was very smooth," said Tina Stearns, town administrator. "Integrator allows our residents to access more data and functionality and is cost effective for even a small town. SMS's customer service is top-notch."
Grantham’s new online GIS site includes: parcel, zoning, topographic, hydrological, and aerial photography data layers. Users have the ability to search for parcels by owner name, street address, or parcel number and generate abutter lists rapidly. In addition to this standard functionality, Grantham also has a national wetlands buffer tool, real estate search tool, direct property links to Google maps, and building photo tool-tips.
SMS partnered with mPower Innovations earlier this year to distribute mPower Integrator in the northeast. The success of this partnership is evidenced by the rapid growth of Integrator clients in the region, with 5 clients currently under contract and several more being negotiated.
