ArcPad  - A mobile mapping solution for handhelds, consumer, rugged, integrated GPS � for tablets, ultra mobile PCs.

Recall, ArcPad 7.1 released, Nov 07. Some of the following notable features:
- support for editing related tables
- usability improvements
- new streetmap extension
- addition of the Arcpad data manager extension for ArcGIS desktop
- Enhanced Query builder and query forms

ArcPad 7.1.1 released in June 08

- performance impovements with the Streetmap extension
- enhanced relational database support

ArcPad 7.2 expected Q4, 2008 - beta applications are being accepted now. Look for:
- Toolbars added to the UI
- GPS UI
- Streetmap improvement
- sync directly with ArcGIS server

Something users and would-be purchasers should keep in mind is the GeoCollector Bundled solution - an ESRI and Trimble solution. An "Out of the box mobile solution" enabling users to add db attributes in the field, add a point via GPS input, redlining, and much more. Provides ArcPAD and Trimble's GPScorrect for ArcPad software preinstalled on a GeoExplorer 2008 series handheld.
