Company Offers Technical Workshops and Educational Sessions For Maximizing Your ROI for GPS, GIS Technology
Trimble will showcase two of its new Mapping and Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions at the 2008 ESRI International User Conferences in San Diego, Calif. August 4-8.
The Trimble® GeoExplorer® 2008 series is the company’s next-generation line of rugged devices with integrated Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. First introduced in May, the GeoXHTM handheld is setting a new industry standard with real-time decimeter level positioning accuracy. The GeoXMTM handheld provides 1–3 meter accuracy and allows reliable differential GPS (DGPS) corrections in real time. The GeoXTTM handheld offers all of the features of the GeoXM handheld, plus a submeter receiver and Trimble’s unique EVERESTTM multipath rejection technology.
Trimble will also feature the GPS Pathfinder® ProXRT receiver, which combines a high-performance GPS receiver with Trimble H-StarTM technology, OmniSTAR correction capability, and optional GLONASS capability to provide various levels of positioning accuracies—from submeter to decimeter accuracy.
In addition, Trimble will offer an educational session that provides an introduction to GPS for GIS at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6. A technical workshop on optimizing data collection will be held on Thursday, August 7 at 9:45 a.m.
