Croydon, UK, 07 July 2008 – Geographical Information System (GIS) company GGP Systems has launched a new programme of hands on training courses.
Accredited by the Association for Geographic Information as part of their Continuing Professional Development Programme, delegates are ensured of first class training from experienced and qualified instructors - gaining skills and expertise that can easily be transferred into the workplace.
The GGP Training Programme provides opportunities for all users of their leading geographical information system (GIS). From basic through to advanced, all courses are held at GGP’s dedicated training facility in South London and to ensure delegates get the maximum benefit each course has a limited number of places. In addition to the open courses GGP also offers onsite training that can be customised to meet specific requirements.
“The accreditation of each and every one of our courses by the AGI is a significant achievement,” commented Ioannis Nousios, Training and Consultancy Manager. “Not only does it reflect the hard work we have undertaken putting together the programme it also validates our training ensuring we remain at the forefront of professional GI training and education.”
The Association for Geographic Information (AGI) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme is designed to provide structure and guidance for those who wish to manage their career development within the GI industry. Designed to specifically complement the Chartered Geographer Scheme offered in collaboration with the Royal Geographical Society with IBG, attendees at courses such as those offered by GGP Systems can accumulate points that can be used towards achieving or maintaining Chartered Geographer Status.
As part of the Training Programme GGP has launched a brand new course designed to help users of GGP’s leading GIS make the most of the latest reporting functionality. GGP Fast-Report will provide an introduction to the FastReport functionality; exploring the FastReport wizard and creating labels and multi page reports. The course will also introduce reporting from groups, aggregate functions and dialogues.
