Singapore - Responding to the needs of the industry, the research community and every individuals need to geospatial information, Map Asia 2004 is the 3rd international initiative aimed to provide an apt platform for the convergence, sharing and use of technologies and experiences in the geospatial domain.
Map Asia 2004 has set its theme as;Building Asia: Enabling g-Lateral Ties. It aims at exploring and enabling multi-lateral geospatial ties or g-Lateral ties that exist in various latent forms in Asia. It plans to converge and initiate talks amongst key geospatial organizations in Asia, so that they share their strengths, experiences and expertise, and eventually develop a multi-lateral agreement that put forth a geospatial strategy for the region;s development.
The four-day event of Map Asia 2004 is being jointly organized by

Call for Papers
The Conference Secretariat invites all interested to submit 'abstract' of an intended full paper. The abstract should not exceed 200 words and should gist the key areas and concept to be addressed in the paper. One may also submit an extended abstract that clearly state the purpose, results and conclusions of the work to be described in the final paper. An Extended Abstract should be around 1000 words. All abstracts are invited before 15th May 2004.
