Small Municipal and County Governments Can Now Add ArcPad and ArcPad Application Builder to ELA  E-mail
Written by ESRI
16 June 2008
Add-on Provides Another Way for Departments to Deliver Mobile GIS

Redlands, California?Small governments in the United States can now add ArcPad and ArcPad Application Builder to an existing or new Small Municipal and County Government Enterprise License Agreement (ELA). The nominally priced add-on offers unlimited access to ArcPad software for mobile geographic information system (GIS) field mapping and data collection as well as the development framework to customize ArcPad applications.

Via handheld mobile devices, ArcPad provides users with mapping, GIS, and GPS integration in the field. This software integrates with ESRI desktop technology to allow field edits to be incorporated through disconnected editing. ArcPad and ArcPad Application Builder simplify the field data collection process and offer advanced functionality for mobile users who need to make critical decisions in the field. This optional add-on to the ELA will be especially useful to small governments that want to extend ArcPad applications while they develop mobile solutions based on ArcGIS Server.

ESRI's Small Municipal and County Government ELA program allows unlimited deployments of ESRI ArcGIS software and is available to municipalities and counties in the United States with populations of 100,000 or less. The program provides access to ESRI GIS technology with a straightforward, tiered pricing schedule. Advantages include updated versions of GIS software for a consistent platform; flexible deployments to desktops, servers, and mobile devices; and the ability to incorporate GIS into mission-critical applications and workflows.

For more information, contact your ESRI United States regional office (contact information is available at www.esri.com/usa), call 800-447-9778, or visit www.esri.com/smallgovela.
