Agreement Now Includes Access to Entire NAVTEQ(R) Map Database

CHICAGO, May 20 NAVTEQ (NYSE: NVT), a leading global provider of digital maps for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions, today announced that MapQuest, the top mapping website in the US*, has expanded its agreement with NAVTEQ.  Under the new agreement, MapQuest now has access to all 73 countries in the NAVTEQ map database, as well as future country releases.  MapQuest will utilize NAVTEQ data in both its Internet and mobile applications.

"MapQuest has remained a leader in online mapping by providing users with reliable maps and directions, high quality data, and easy-to-use features," said Christian Dwyer, senior vice president and general manager, MapQuest, Inc.  "Our agreement with NAVTEQ helps ensure that we continue to provide users with the best experience possible."

The inclusion of the entire NAVTEQ database further optimizes MapQuest's location offerings by providing rich map content beyond the U.S.  NAVTEQ map data spans 73 countries and territories on six continents, and includes some of the fastest growing economies in the world such as Brazil, Russia and India.

"NAVTEQ has worked closely with MapQuest for many years and we look forward expanding our business relationship," said Jeff Mize, executive vice president, sales, NAVTEQ.  "With this increased access to our entire NAVTEQ database, MapQuest can now develop compelling location solutions that affect consumer activity worldwide."
