EMERGENCY ALERT 3D TECHNOLOGY CALLS IN MINUTES, SAVES LIVES Geographical Accuracy, Instant Notification, Decreases Emergency Response Times
BURLINGAME, CA, MAY 12, 2008: Cell Bridge Communications Corp. and Poly9 Group Inc. have joined forces to launch GeoAlert® 2.0, the most advanced emergency broadcasting and mapping technology available today, at the O'Reilly Where 2.0 Conference. GeoAlert® 2.0 now uses Adobe AIR software to enable users to monitor real-time risk activity and receive instantaneous alerts on all emergency situations, directly from their desktops. Communicating quickly is the key to saving lives. With GeoAlert® 2.0, the right information finds the right users so that corrective action can be taken in minimal time.
“We clearly wanted to provide a tool that the oil and gas industry could use in remote locations with very little bandwidth,” explained Dan Pacholik, VP-Operations, Cell Bridge. “The rich interface allows Cell Bridge to incorporate database, softphone technology and 3D mapping right into the application.” With the help of Adobe AIR, GeoAlert® 2.0 runs right off the user’s desktop so that the user is continuously in-the-know.
“The new Adobe AIR application delivers superior engagement because its capabilities match those typically associated with desktop applications, while providing an easy-to-use interface and integrating seamlessly with real-time web services,” explains Alan Lewis, a software developer for Adobe AIR applications.
Adobe AIR supports GeoAlert®’s accurate mapping communication feature so that the exact geographical coordinates of any emergency situation can be identified. “We wanted to simplify communication in times of urgency,” states Greg Sadetsky, CEO of Poly9 Group Inc. “The 3D mapping displays the actual situation, as it progresses, in real-time. In fact, GeoAlert® is the first Adobe AIR application using Poly9 FreeEarth’s programmable 3D mapping.”
GeoAlert® 2.0 keeps emergency response simple, timely and accurate. With the onus on companies to maintain social responsibility, emergency response can’t afford to wait. If you'd like more information about GeoAlert® 2.0 or to schedule an interview with Dan Pacholik, please call (403) 975-3267 or e-mail
