LIVERMORE, CA -- A reorganization of the Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) sales and marketing personnel and duties has been announced by Jamie Williamson, senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Murray Lodge has been promoted to vice president of construction survey. Williamson said, “Murray has demonstrated a long, successful track record during his 14 years at Topcon. He excelled in each of his roles from regional manager, national sales manager, and most recently, as director of construction sales.”
Williamson praised Lodge for “consistently providing broad-ranging leadership in the construction sales area, while providing consistent guidance and support to the company for product strategy and execution of sales plans.
“We look forward to Murray continuing to build this organization to take advantage of future opportunities.”
Mark Contino, former director of sales and marketing, has accepted the new role of vice president of survey sales. Reporting to him will be TPS regional survey managers.
Williamson said, “Over Mark’s eight years with the company, he has excelled in every position and area of responsibility given to him. In his most recent position as director of international sales and marketing, Mark did an excellent job of building a team of professionals. Mark’s contribution to the company’s total marketing effort cannot be overstated. He has provided the leadership to make our market presence second to none.”
Williamson said, “Mark’s competitiveness and understanding of the products, our customers and our dealers will serve him well as we face the challenges of integrating new products into the marketplace and grow the company in the highly competitive survey industry.”
Peter Wallace, former director of survey sales, is the new director of business development-Latin America. “Peter’s new role will expand his responsibilities to include the entire product line of Topcon’s survey, construction and agricultural businesses,” Williamson said.
“His excellent understanding of the Latin American market and clear direction he has set for his team will allow the company to take advantage of the opportunities emerging as Latin American economies continue to expand.
“Peter will be responsible for maintaining and growing our market leadership in the survey business, while creating new leadership positions in the construction and agri areas.”
Brian Juroff has been promoted to director of construction sales. Williamson said, “Brian’s experience managing the distribution network in the U.S. and Canada as national sales manager, as well as his previous experience as Topcon Laser marketing manager, has prepared him for the new challenge in construction sales.
“His total understanding of our industry and TPS’s distribution will guarantee benefits for the company and its dealers.”
Jason Killpack will be the new director of product marketing and events.
Williamson said, “Jason’s most recent position of senior product marketing manager has prepared him well for his new increased responsibilities. Jason’s understanding of our products, customers and dealer organization provides an excellent base for leading the team that assimilates new products into the distribution channel.”
Killpack will also be in charge of providing product and market analysis, as well as “orchestrating trade shows and events,” Williamson said. “His strong work ethic and team leadership skills will assure continued excellence over the whole scope of TPS marketing activities.
Dale Jefferson will assume the new position of director of product management and training.
Williamson said, “With Dale’s previous experience working inside the product development group, he demonstrated a can-do leadership attitude that resulted in his team producing new software and data collection products in a very short period of time.
“Working within the sales and marketing organizations, Dale will continue to build our software product management group, as well as being the lead interface for headquarters-based survey and laser products.”
Jefferson will also assume the responsibility for managing the newly formed Topcon training group.
