MADISON, Ala.-- Graphic Technologies, Inc. (GTI) announced today that it has sold over 8,000 copies of GTViewer and Pocket GTViewer worldwide. “We passed the 8,000 mark in January,” said GTI president Michael Stokes. “We would like to thank our customers, who have chosen GTViewer as the software they want to use for viewing GIS data.”
“You make the GIS transparent,” says Joey Eversole, GIS Coordinator for the City of Olive Branch, Mississippi. When some users, who do not even have a computer at home, are expected to make the most out of mountains of GIS data, GTViewer becomes indispensable with its snappy performance, intuitive user interface, ease of learning, and powerful analysis capabilities. GTViewer has far exceeded its initial goal as a mapbook replacement. While viewing the GIS data is still GTViewer’s core functionality, even more value is realized by leveraging the GIS data to accomplish the task at hand.
Data collection and inventory are one of GTViewer’s strengths. Equipment inventories, valve inspections, joint-use attachment validation, and any similar task are easy to perform both from the user’s and administrator’s standpoint. GTViewer can also provide more advanced capabilities. Valve isolation, on-the-spot outage analysis, fiber OTDR, and loop makeup are just a few examples of the analysis GTViewer brings to the field.
GTViewer adds value to the GIS data by getting it to the people who need it the most, in a usable form that lets them accomplish their work more effectively.
