WhiteStar and HPDI Integrate Oil & Gas Well Mapping Data with Nationwide Well Production Data
Written by WhiteStar
Wednesday, 12 December 2007
Lakewood, Colorado, USA, 12 December 2007 – WhiteStar Corp. and HPDI, LLC today announced that the two companies have agreed to work together to provide the oil & gas industry with the most cost-effective solution for monitoring and analyzing key well data such as location, drilling permits, well and permit statuses, and production.
Through this agreement, companies have the ability to access WhiteStar’s Unlimited Well Access (UWA) well mapping data through HPDI’s U.S. Historical production data application.
WhiteStar’s UWA mapping product provides well header and other information for oil and gas wells in the United States, including Alaska, state and federal waters, and the Gulf of Mexico. Offered as a subscription product, UWA is updated quarterly with status information for all of the 3.9 million wells drilled and recorded nationwide. In addition, two other WhiteStar products – UGA, which provides nationwide public land survey and county boundaries, and UBA, which provides unlimited cultural data – can also be accessed from the HPDI web based application.
HPDI’s U.S. Historical application provides detailed and accurate nationwide historical production data and drilling permit data for use in exploration planning and operations. Also offered as a subscription, U.S. Historical’s monthly updated production data and daily updated drilling permits are coupled with the ability to create maps, complemented by UWA, charts, decline curves, and more. Together, HPDI’s and WhiteStar’s integrated technology and data provide a complete solution for companies that need oil and gas well information displayed in reports, maps, and charts.
“This is a very powerful solution for the oil and gas industry, and it is great news for customers of both WhiteStar and HPDI because it will be so easy to access and use,” said Robert White, WhiteStar President. “Customers will be able use the data in an integrated way on their favorite exploration software platform.”
To take advantage of the integrated data sets, WhiteStar clients with active UWA subscriptions and U.S. Historical subscriptions can use U.S. Historical to access UWA layers along with well production data. Companies will have a wealth of data available to them with just a few clicks, making it possible to create data-rich regional or statewide maps, reports, and charts without having to order individual data sets from individual states.
“This integrated solution from HPDI and WhiteStar is significant because it makes this kind of information dramatically less expensive than the other solutions on the market,” said Larry Robinette, Sales Manager of HPDI. “This will give the customers the opportunity to use valuable well production information that may have previously been beyond the reach of their budget.”
