Are you missing out on important news annoucements and updates affecting GIS and geospatial technologies? There's no need to with so many great syndication tools... here's a couple of tips on how you can get ALL the GISuser updates and never miss out.

First, hopefully you get our 2x a week newsletter! A simple email subscription and you'll get the latest news and some editorial every Tuesday and Thursday... once your done simply delete the email so you don't clutter you inbox.

RSS Feed and Syndication

These are very powerful and useful enabling you to take the latest news with you and have access any time anywhere!

The GISuser RSS Feed can always be found at http://feeds.feedburner.com/Gisusercom - you can use this to add to any feed burning resournce or news aggregator.

If you don't want to miss out then Feeddblitz is what you need. You can request the GISuser Feedblitz (or an update from any site for that matter - as long as they have an RSS feed). Then you'll receive a simple email once a day with all the latest postings... very handy, very user friendly! Simply jump to http://www.feedblitz.com/, scroll to the bottom of the page and enter the WWW address in the box. OR, simply jump to this custom link - http://www.feedblitz.com/f/?Sub=110862

Feedblitz delivers a nice, simple, user-friendly daily update one a day - never miss a news update!

Feedburner is another fabulous resource where we have a feed "burned". See http://feeds.feedburner.com/GisUsercom - you can add this feed to any one of your favorite RSS news readers.

Google custom "iGoogle" homepage. If you have a custom homepage from Google then you can easily add the latest GISuser updates to that page by using this weblink - http://www.google.com/ig/add?feedurl=http://feeds.feedburner.com/Gisusercom - Google account is required for this feature.

Add GISuser news or any news update that's RSS enabled to your Google homepage

Similar to Google, Yahoo! has the ability to enable My Yahoo! users to add custom news feeds to their account. You can add GISuser news to your My Yahoo! via this weblink - http://add.my.yahoo.com/rss?url=http://feeds.feedburner.com/Gisusercom

Mobile Feeds enable you to access GISuser content from your mobile device

Hubdog is a cool app where we have a custom feed. Simply preview the channel at http://www.hubdog.com/c/36218/preview and add to your Hubdog account.

Widsets (www.widsets.com) is a popular news reader tool from Nokia. It enables users to select from pre-screened popular news sources or you can burn your own channel using an RSS feed. Simply load the app on your handset and select your news sources. You can find the GISuser Widset HERE or get the LBSzone widset here!

There are many RSS news syndication tools out there. Some optimized for web syndication, some will update you via email, some are for mobile users. Anyone who has a web page or blog can take advantage of these resounces to help your readers stay informed and up to date... all you need is an RSS feed!
