ESRI to Showcase a Complete Platform for GeoIntelligence Workflows at GEOINT Symposium  E-mail
Written by ESRI
18 October 2007
ArcGIS Platform Gives Intelligence Organizations the Ability to Collect, Model, Analyze, and Share Information for Better Decision Making

Redlands, California—ESRI will demonstrate the power and flexibility of ESRI’s ArcGIS platform to manage geospatial intelligence at the GEOINT Symposium held in San Antonio, Texas, October 21–24, 2007.

ESRI presentations and exhibits provide an opportunity for the national security, defense, and intelligence communities to see the unique capabilities of geographic information system (GIS) technology to integrate and share all elements of the intelligence workflow. From the field to the desktop to the command center, the ArcGIS technology platform connects sensors, warfighters, analysts, and decision makers through a shared network. This connected geointelligence enables agencies, through netcentric operations, to share intelligence data simultaneously throughout a community of interest the moment it becomes available. Unencumbered by information flow, agencies can focus their attention on the challenges they face.
The ArcGIS platform’s key software technologies include
·        ArcGIS Desktop—Authors, analyzes, models, visualizes, and shares geospatial intelligence to support improved and timely decisions. ArcGIS Desktop is a complete toolset for intelligence analysts and GIS specialists who work with geospatial data.

·        ArcGIS Server—A powerful, GIS-enabled service-oriented architecture (SOA) with the speed, agility, and tools to distribute analytical products and geospatial data. This technology meets the demanding global operational needs of the intelligence community.
·        ArcGIS Mobile—Brings the power of GIS capabilities to the field. Warfighters can collaborate in real time and share data and analysis when connected, yet the system operates as a stand-alone, independent system when disconnected.
·        ArcGIS Image Server—Manages, processes, and distributes large imagery sets, reducing the time from collection at the sensor to exploitation by the decision maker or warfighter.

Stop by ESRI booth number 401 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center to see ESRI’s geospatial technology in action. Be sure to pick up a guide to exhibits of more than 49 ESRI business partners that offer ArcGIS software-based applications, solutions, and services for the defense and intelligence communities.

The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation hosts GEOINT, which attracts more than 3,000 government, academic, industry, intelligence, and military leaders to San Antonio.
