Innovations in Graphics Hardware Bring Multi-display Capabilities to Military Applications
Montreal, Canada, September 25, 2007 — Matrox Graphics Inc., the leading manufacturer of multi-display graphics solutions for professionals, is pleased to announce that it has been named to Military Training Technology (MT2) Magazine's 2007 Top 100 list, a listing of companies compiled by MT2 that have made a significant impact in the military training industry throughout this year.
MT2 approached more than 600 candidates and also invited any company who felt that it was deserving of the distinction to apply for the award. Companies were then selected based on various criteria including end-user feedback, innovations and need for the solution within the military training industry.
Recognition for the contribution Matrox has made to the military training industry was awarded based on the Matrox Graphics eXpansion Modules (GXM) series of external graphics hardware.
This series includes DualHead2Go Digital Edition and TripleHead2Go Digital Edition. GXMs are external boxes that connect via the dual-link DVI or analog output of a workstation, desktop computer or notebook and can support both analog and digital monitors. Ideal for simulation and training platforms, these versatile products provide a completely new way to add multi-display support to a workstation, desktop computer or notebook. GXMs do not require opening a computer, inserting parts into it, or replacing any hardware and software. They are ideal solutions for simulation and training platforms requiring the synchronization of two or three displays.
Matrox Graphics eXpansion Modules round out the comprehensive line of Matrox highly scalable COTS, multi-display add-in graphics cards and external graphics solutions.
