According to the developers of this interesting app., GeoGarage is claimed to be the first geospatial images web server compatible with Google Maps and Google Earth. Actually Geogarage is a software service used for interactive mapping publishing and targeted to organisms which have data but don't know how to publish them. Two viewing options are made available: a Google Maps API based viewer and a Flash Version... The service uses Quadtrimage(R) Technology.
The company's mission is to integrate digital mapping data (maps, orthophotos, in any formats) to provide web hosting and to diffuse them in ASP mode, storing huge geographical documents and displaying the images with raster tiles technology.
The Google Maps API based viewer is easy to use. Inserting a Google Maps viewer with GeoGarage data in a web page is really simple : only a few html line code is needed. For people interested in having a specific viewer, Geogarage also provides unbranded web mapping viewer based on a Flash viewer.
