Users can map a storm track, access information about a storm from NOAA, read about the storm's lifecycle, grab info from Wikipedia, view photos posted to flickr that reference the hurricane, access satellite imagery and much more - as an example see details of Hurricane Alberto, 2006 - this is a fantastic mashup and I can't wait to see more from it!
From the get-go of entering the site the user is presented with a wealth of tropical storm related information including:
a summary of last year's storm season
impressive satellite imagery from NASA
storm tracks
information from Wikipedia
links to weather charts
weather related news links from major media outlets
data from coastal and inland weather stations
data from buoys
weather related photos pulled from flickr
Satellite imagery from GOESS and MET8 (water vapor, infrared, rgb, visible, and more)
By clicking the familiar forward/rewind radio buttons the user can move through time and see the track of a hurricane along with the changing satellite imagery
This is not an official weather resource, however, it is an amazing example of how NOAA and others can mashup data from a number of sources and resources to produce a fantastic and simple-to-use One Stop portal... two thumbs way up for this one!
