VIDAR to feature the Powerful, but Economical iJET Scanners
Written by VIDAR
20 March 2007
With the addition of an 80mb internal hard drive, iJET has greatly improved scan-to-file and scan-to-print functionality for both the Titan and Designer 18 scanners.
The use of the added hard drive provides the temporary storage of very large data files and/or batch scanned originals to be sent to connected printers quickly—improving productivity. Also incorporated in this release of iJET is the ability to remotely scan using the built in Web server to simplify scanner set up and operation. You can scan to file or copy from the web server through a simple HTML page via network clients. Provides multiple O/S support for MAC, Windows, Linux and many others. The Titan 600e and Designer 18 scanners are both RoHS compliant; a key feature on all new Contex scanners.
More about the Designer 18 iJET
This flatbed scanner is the perfect solution for delicate and very fragile originals or unique originals that have uneven surfaces. This scanner combines the flexibility of a flatbed scanner with the advanced large format scanner technology found in our full family of solutions. The Designer 18 is the perfect solution for museums, libraries, graphic arts, publishing firms or any one that has archival applications or very thick, delicate and textured originals. More about Titan 600e iJET
The Titan 600e is a powerful tool that can be configured for both stand-alone and network scan and copy tasks. With a 42” image area and with an optical resolution of over 600 dpi or 120,000 pixels of data, the Titan is perfect for professionals needing to scan architectural sketches, sepias, blueprints, detailed maps and other color rich and detailed originals—faster and with the highest image quality available today in a large format scanner. AIIM is the largest enterprise content and document management conference and exposition showcasing the technologies to capture, manage, share and store documents and digital content to support business processes and comply with governmental regulations. ON DEMAND, the digital printing and automated production event, is the largest conference and exposition dedicated to the technologies that create, personalize, manage, print and deliver content.
VIDAR will be represented by its US Distributor, PROMARK Technology, in booth #3051 and demonstrating the Titan and Designer scanners, featuring software solutions for scan to print, scat to archive and document management. A presentation will be conducted approximately every 30 minutes highlighting the five easy steps for scan-to-print with all participants eligible to be entered in a drawing for a GPS navigation system.
“VIDAR is excited to be participating again at this years AIIM exposition. This is an opportunity to visit with customers and introduce potentially new customers to the benefits of adding a wide format scanner to their business. We are also pleased to show case two of our newest scanners that incorporate customer feedback and patented wide format scanning technologies, the Titan 42” color scanner and the Designer 18 flatbed scanner for fine art and delicate originals.” States Steve Blanken, Director of Sales for VIDAR North America.
AIIM ON DEMAND will offer several informative, technology-specific pavilions. The pavilions are designed to focus on a specific technological facet within the show’s broader scope, providing visitors with an interactive and specialized look at some of the most interesting applications in technology today.
