Gardiner, Maine – March 20, 2007 - Blue Marble Geographics (www.bluemarblegeo.com) announces that a percentage of their April sales revenue will be donated to the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of Earth Day 2007.
A portion of each Blue Marble application and development tool that is sold during the month will help Blue Marble further its commitment to the environment. Blue Marble’s coordinate conversion technology is used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software companies, universities, oil and gas companies, civil engineering, surveying, technology, enterprise GIS groups, government and military organizations.
“It is important to us as a company, to our employees as individuals, and to me personally that we make an attempt to help the environment in some small way. We feel that bringing attention to Earth Day can help remind people that there are things we can all do,” said Patrick Cunningham, President of Blue Marble. “The Arbor Day Foundation is a great cause because they have a simple message. Beyond donating money, we want to remind folks to consider planting a tree this spring.”
