Toronto, ON - ESRI Canada is pleased to announce that the following Canadian business partners, Divestco, Geosoft, and Infonaut, each received awards from ESRI Inc. on March 18 at the 2007 ESRI Business Partner Conference in Palm Springs, California.
The awards were presented to business partners in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the geographic information systems (GIS) industry and to the success of the Business Partner Program.
**Divestco Inc. - Partner of the Year** "Divestco Inc. is Canada's leading geophysical, geological, and mapping software and services provider," said Dwayne Fletcher, Regional Manager, Prairies, ESRI Canada. "As an ESRI Canada business partner, Divestco has gained extensive experience in working with a wide variety of oil and gas applications and the latest ESRI product offerings. It is with this broad knowledge base that Divestco, in consultation with clients, now provides access to a range of oil and gas specific data through ESRI's ArcGIS software."
Divestco is an innovative software, services, data, and consulting company providing integrated solutions for the oil and gas industry. Divestco's customers are comprised principally of oil and gas exploration and production companies, oil and gas service companies, oil and gas engineering companies, governments, and individual contractors. Divestco's software products have become indispensable exploration tools for oil and gas professionals, including a number of solutions considered to be industry standards.
**Geosoft - Partner of the Year** Founded in 1986, Geosoft is a leading provider of geospatial software for earth science industries. Geosoft software enables productive use of spatial data for essential decision-making in mining exploration, Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) detection, and environmental investigations. Their head office is in Toronto and they have offices in Africa, Australia, Europe, Latin America, and North America. Their innovative product, Target(tm) for ArcGIS, is a sub surface and drillhole mapping extension to ArcGIS. Their other product, Oasis montaj(tm), adds powerful spatial data processing capabilities to GIS for mining operations.
"This award honours and recognizes the strong and long lasting relationship that exists between Geosoft and ESRI Canada," said John Houweling, Regional Manager, Ontario, ESRI Canada. "Geosoft is working closely with ESRI Inc. and ESRI Canada to build a strategic partnership in the global mining space."
**Infonaut Inc. - New Partner of the Year** Infonaut was born when two healthcare IT professionals from Toronto, Canada - after witnessing SARS firsthand - realized they had the knowledge and skills to fill a critical hole in healthcare planning, emergency response, pandemic disease monitoring, and outbreak management. Since 2003, Infonaut has been helping governments and health-related organizations make sense of previously overwhelming amounts of information that is vital to protecting people's health. Their easy-to-use, map-based software and decision-making support services are helping to ensure sound decisions are being made by those trusted with keeping us safe.
"Today, Infonaut has grown into a trusted and essential partner for various government organizations, agencies, healthcare providers, and related private-sector companies," said Mr. Houweling. "They understand the importance of using GIS technology to support the delivery of public health information. As a result they have built a strong relationship with ESRI Canada to combine expertise, share resources, and harness a unique combination of skills to deliver sound advice and proven map-based decision support."
