Ideal for Processing and Packaging Facilities
WILMINGTON, Del.- SABI™ Mobile for Food Safety is a new 100-percent customizable hand-held data collection system designed to give food processors, packaging plant managers and quality assurance professionals the first complete tool for food safety-related data management.
SABI (Serveon Advanced Business Intelligence) Mobile for Food Safety, developed by Wilmington-based Serveon, Inc., is a leading-edge, GPS-enabled wireless data management tool that is ideal for the collection, storage and sharing of food safety-related data, whether in processing, shipping or other related locations. It gives organizations the ability to rapidly observe and measure customizable business data. It is sold on a subscription basis and hardware is free with a two-year commitment.
Also currently used in agribusiness and golf course management, SABI Mobile offers users an ideal way to collect data but without a sharp learning curve, according to CEO Dan Hart.
“All business data relating to food processing and plant management to shipping and integrated pest management can be easily captured using SABI Mobile, and then shared quickly and electronically,” said Hart. “It also allows an organization with multiple locations to compare data from each facility on the same spreadsheet report, which is automatically generated.”
SABI Mobile allows all customers to configure their specific information centrally on Serveon’s secure servers, and the unit offers near real-time reporting, GIS mapping tools and other features, including an online measurement calculator, a Web-based shape file export engine, the ability to view data as individual layers, a new hand zoom and panning feature, full color aerial photographs that can be zoomed to 1 meter, and a radius plotting tool.
An organization can view data for all facilities in a comparison-report mode while quality assurance managers at each plant or warehouse could be given limited exposure, allowing them to only view their location’s collected data. Then data can be shared by printing or e-mailing in Word, Excel, PDF or other formats.
Serveon Inc. is a leading developer of application technology solutions and provider of information consulting services for the golf course, agricultural and pest control industries.
