More than 90.000 Hotspots from Europe and North America added
Düsseldorf/Madrid, March 19th, 2007 – Spotigo, a leading European software- and service company in the mobile broadband market and provider of the biggest hotspot directory of the world, will make tens of thousands hotspots from about 40 countries in Europe and North America available to application developers through the new Tele Atlas ContentLinkSM program.
Thanks to the long lasting experience of the international Spotigo team and their excellent contacts towards hundreds of Wireless Internet Providers (WISPs), the hotspot directory offers high quality data: Every hotspot is listed with address- and geocoding information, venue name (e.g. Achat Hotel Dresden), location type (hotel, cafe, restaurant, etc.), access type (free, commercial, etc. ) and more details regarding the particular WiFi network. A multilingual database management team takes care of the continous updating of the huge directory.
Tele Atlas ContentLink is designed to streamline time-to-market by allowing developers to rapidly discover and obtain the latest content from publishers, such as entertainment, lodging and hotspot data. Publishers of any size can post content to the portal, and leverage Tele Atlas’ unique editing tools and precise geocoding to categorize, locate and verify the exact position of their content on Tele Atlas maps. Leveraging Tele Atlas ContentLink, developers can search, acquire and download the hotspot directory to create highly targeted applications and personalized downloads for personal and in-car navigation systems, mobile and wireless devices, Internet, location-based services (LBS), and geospatial solutions.
The world’s largest hotspot directory is available immediately from Spotigo through the Tele Atlas ContentLink platform; for additional program information, visit:http://www.teleatlas.com/Pub/Partners/ContentLink/index.htm .
