Study Geography With a National Champion! After that beating that the Gators laid on the Buckeyes it has to make you want to study in Gainsville. Did U-know that besides being home of the reigning NCAA Football and basketball champs, the University of Florida is also home to a fine geography program.
The University offers BA and BS undergraduate degrees and MA, MS and PhD degrees in Geography and also possess excellent facilities for teaching and research in the technical fields of GIS, remote sensing, and cartography.

Faculty and graduate student research interests fall under three broad headings of Economic Geography, Physical Geography and Resource Management. They also possess excellent facilities for teaching and research in the technical fields of GIS, remote sensing, and cartography. The GIS department is supported by computer labs equipped with more than 40 Dell PCs and workstations running GIS software from ESRI's ArcGIS 9.1 and ArcView 3.3, ESRI ArcSDE, Erdas' Imagine 8.7, and MapInfo 8.0
