The £300,000 deal is one part of an agreement that Northgate has signed with MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA), who is under contract with Bromsgrove District Council to roll out radical improvements to the local authority’s land and property services.

 Northgate is providing MDA  with its entire suite of Land & Property solutions, along with GDC’s GeoPlatform solution. GeoPlatform opens up GI across an entire organisation and provides state of the art access to local government property and geographic information to the public, and includes:

GeoStore for central management, storage and distribution of geographic data.
PlanWeb, a web-based, corporate intranet GIS solution which enables data that was locked up in departmental silos to be easily accessible across departmental boundaries.
PlanAccess, including a Property Account module, which opens up geographic data via the Internet to citizens, customers and other organisations, helping to deliver DCLG Priority Service Outcomes.
 
GDC’s GeoPlatform fully integrates with Northgate’s suite, including its Gazetteer and Land Charges solutions.
