The mission of the U.S. Geological Survey's Education Program is to educate and inform data users in the use and application of USGS products and services. Use this valuable resource to locate tutorials, news, edu resources, and much more.
Most recently, the USGS participated in the Association of American Geographers annual meeting. The event attracted over 5,000 attendees and as such was one of the largest gathering of geographers at any time in history, if not THE largest.
The meeting marked the 100th Anniversary of the AAG, and as the USGS celebrated its own 125th Anniversary this month, it was fitting that we helped sponsor the conference, we became corporate members of the AAG, and we participated in the conference with over 40 paper and panel sessions, a demonstration room, and an information exhibit.
