Toronto, ON - ESRI Canada is pleased to announce that the following Canadian Business Partners, Enghouse Systems Limited, R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited, and Safe Software, received awards at the 2004 ESRI Worldwide Business Partner Conference in Palm Springs, California.

**Enghouse Systems Limited - ESRI Business Partner of the Year** Enghouse Systems Limited's Asset Management Division, a leading provider of spatial information management applications serving the telecommunications, cable TV, gas and electric utilities, and oil and gas pipeline markets, has been named ESRI Business Partner of the Year. This award honours and recognizes the strong and long standing relationship which exists between Enghouse and ESRI Canada.

"Enghouse has been an ESRI Canada business partner for many years," said Alex Miller, President, ESRI Canada. "Over this time, Enghouse has made significant strides in Canada with its suite of spatial information management products. **R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited - New Partner of the Year** "Burnside has been an ESRI Canada Business Partner since 2002," said John Houweling, Ontario Regional Manager, ESRI Canada. "During this time, they have built a successful industry-specific application on ESRI technology that meets the needs of Ontario municipalities (e.g. addressing the minimum maintenance standards for municipal roads, Reg. 239/02). Their knowledge and expertise of the engineering field coupled with their ability to provide their clients with a variety of surveying, mapping, evaluation, and operating services, offers their clients a complete solution."

R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited has over 30 years of experience providing a diverse range of engineering, development, and environmental services (www.rjburnside.com). Since 1970, they have grown significantly and steadily expanded their capabilities to better serve their local, national, international, and First Nations clients. Within the main disciplines of civil engineering, Burnside has years of project experience in water supply development, treatment and distribution, sewage collection and treatment, roads, and bridges. In addition to their capabilities with conventional civil engineering disciplines, Burnside has specialized experience in various fields including airborne and satellite remote sensing, GIS, solid waste management, environmental assessment, site remediation, and storm water management.

**Safe Software - Foundation Partner**

"This award recognizes Safe Software's hard work and dedication to building a strong, dependable relationship with ESRI Inc. and ESRI Canada," said Myron Doherty, Pacific Regional Manager, ESRI Canada. "This partner is one of the foundation blocks on which our strong Business Partner Program is built."

ESRI has worked with Safe Software, the world's leading provider of spatial data transformation solutions, to fully integrate its powerful tools within ArcGIS Desktop and ArcIMS. The ArcGIS Data Interoperability extension and the ArcIMS Data Delivery extension (scheduled for release mid-2004) are examples of how tools based on Safe Software's FME have emerged as the de facto standard for sharing spatial data between diverse applications. These extensions eliminate barriers for data sharing by providing state-of-the-art direct data access, data transformation, and export capabilities.

Founded in 1993, Safe Software focuses on helping organizations enhance access to spatial data resources by providing software solutions that deliver seamless data format translation. Their software products are used worldwide by organizations that need to access and manipulate GIS and CAD data in multiple data formats.
