Laser-Scan's Inaugural Partner Conference  E-mail
Written by GISuser
26 January 2004
(GISuser Press Release) Cambridge, UK, 23rd January 2004. Laser-Scan is pleased to announce its first partner conference to take place between 11-13 February at Laser-Scan's headquarters in Cambridge. The event will focus on Laser-Scan's partner strategy, partner successes achieved in 2003 and plans for 2004 and beyond.

The conference attracted an exceptional amount of attention as soon as it was announced and delegate places soon became oversubscribed. Laser-Scan therefore had to increase their offer of places available to cater for the terrific demand. As a result delegates from all over the world will be travelling to the conference from as far away as New Zealand.

Steven Ramage, Business Development Director for Laser-Scan, comments:

"Over the last 2 years Laser-Scan has developed a considerable amount of business through indirect channel sales and this is thanks to our partners. Our commitment to partners is integral to our overall corporate strategy and we are very pleased with the quantity and quality of people who will be attending the conference. We are confident that this will be a very productive event. "

The conference will include presentations from several partners including Per Hampus from Spatial Technology in Sweden and Nigel Mason from Ewan Optimal Solutions in the UK. Both partners will be discussing their success stories in implementing Laser-Scan's Radius Topology into customer's sites in local government and utilities.

Demonstrations from Laser-Scan's Principal Consultants will illustrate technical advances made possible through partnering and will demonstrate Workflow Process Management. There will also be further demonstrations on the role of open architecture and interoperability in Laser-Scan’s markets. Wyn Jenkins, County Property Services Manager of Staffordshire County Council, will then demonstrate the success of their Radius Topology implementation and the benefits achieved through a working interoperable solution.

Laser-Scan’s partners provide GIS solutions based on Laser-Scan’s Radius Topology software. Radius Topology is an advanced spatial processing environment, which extends the Oracle9i database and provides dramatic improvements to the speed and consistency of spatial data handling. In addition it acts as a 'gatekeeper' by only allowing clean, accurate data to enter the Oracle database - a crucial requirement for enterprise-wide data management. www.laser-scan.com http://www.radius.laser-scan.com/
