The Indiana GIS Initiative

INGISI - Indiana GIS provides the backbone that enables visitors to search for data and maps through the Data Clearinghouse. Additionally, a vast amount of GIS data and related information is accessible via this fine portal. Locate a professional using the Rolodex, access numerous State Webmapping resources, find educational information. Most recent, Indiana is taking a bold step forward this year with a new 2005 Statewide Digital Orthophotography Program. The new program will create high-resolution orthophotography for counties on a statewide basis to support homeland security, emergency management, and other business and government applications.
 

Worldwide LANDSAT 7 ETM+ Mosaic Tiles

ResMap provides free online access to GIS-ready satellite data. Over 10 Terabytes of LANDSAT imagery is available for direct and free use in GIS/CAD/RS/MS Office applications on your desktop without the need to download the data. Most recently available is an ArcGIS URL pack for the Landsat 7 ETM+ global tile collection.


 

Illinois Natural Resources Geospatial Data Clearinghouse

ILGIC is a super gateway to GIS data and imagery for Illinois. Available data sets and metadata include: DRG files, DOQs, geology, land use, political boundaries, nature preserves, Public Land Survey (PLS), roads, water resources, wildlife areas, Orthoimagery (year 2000), and Historical Aerial Photographs.
 

Inside Idaho's State GIS Clearinghouse

The mission of the Idaho Geospatial Committee is to provide a forum for the GIS community to facilitate the use, development, sharing and management of geospatial data; and to communicate the value of geospatial information to citizens and decision-makers - This is made possible via the State's Inside Idaho web portal.
 

Georgia GIS clearinghouse

The Georgia GIS clearinghouse (http://gis.state.ga.us) offers visitors searchable metadata for themes that include administrative boundaries, labor statistics, census population and housing, labor statistics, population projections, economic development data, natural resources data and more. The clearinghouse application has been updated to allow for the sale of local government data
 

Colorado Geospatial data & GIS data nodes

Colorado is definitely a hotbed for GIS and geospatial technologies. The State is home to numerous consulting firms and some of the country's most advanced and progressive State mapping agencies. We highlight several fine resources in  this spotlight including a resource where you can easily access and download all the State's DRG for free.

Now you can access downloadable digital data products for some 236 countries. The vector maps of GfK MACON AG provide worldwide coverage with detailed administrative and postcode maps and socio-demographic data is available as well.
 

California Resources Agency

CERES has a goal to identify and promote solutions for statewide digital lands information systems.  California Resources Agency and the USGS have formed partnership in pursuit of the National Map while they also work closely with the California Geographic Information Association to facilitate the operation of regional GIS councils.
 

Arkansas Geographic Information Systems Gateway

The Arkansas State Land Information Board coordinates geographic information programs and delivers data products and education, improving resource management, health, safety, and decision making for economic development across Arkansas. Data is served via GeoStore - a massive (two terabyte) Oracle database containing all publicly available geodata for the state of Arkansas
