Most recent, Indiana is taking a bold step forward this year with a new 2005 Statewide Digital Orthophotography Program. The new program will create high-resolution orthophotography for counties on a statewide basis to support homeland security, emergency management, and other business and government applications.
ResMap provides free online access to GIS-ready satellite data. Over 10 Terabytes of LANDSAT imagery is available for direct and free use in GIS/CAD/RS/MS Office applications on your desktop without the need to download the data. Most recently available is an ArcGIS URL pack for the Landsat 7 ETM+ global tile collection.

California Resources Agency Posted on September 29, 2004 CERES has a goal to identify and promote solutions for statewide digital lands information systems. California Resources Agency and the USGS have formed partnership in pursuit of the National Map while they also work closely with the California Geographic Information Association to facilitate the operation of regional GIS councils.
