GPS fleet tracking is becoming more prominent in the service industry. Business owners are opting to use this new technology to monitor their employee’s hours on the job as well as keep track of company property. Employers are seeing the benefits in their bottom line with savings on overtime hours and insurance reductions, but they are also collecting funny stories as employees try to hang on to their old habits.

Next Generation of Internet Search Engines Enhanced for Location-Based Search

Toronto, ON - NAC Geographic Products (NACGEO) and Metamend have announced that the two companies have reached an agreement in an Internet search engine service. According to the agreement, Metamend is to optimize the meta tags and add a new meta tag to every web page of its clients and submit them to the database of NACGEO's Mobile Location Based Services Network (MLBS.NET).
 

Location Based Solution with Natural Area Coding System

Current wireless location based services are growing much slower than expected. One of the major problems is the inefficiency of geographic coordinates such as longitude/latitude and UTM. These coordinates require more than 20 characters at a resolution of meters that are difficult for people to remember and communicate. They are also difficult to be displayed on and input into small wireless devices. All these make geographic coordinates nearly useless to general consumers.
